Milestone reached, Nan can drink

Hi Friends,
Nan just called and in the conversation she mentioned causually, I can drink now. I yelled for joy. So she got her precious hot water, had applesauce and yogurt for lunch and walked around the pod using their lousy walker, then sat in an upright chair and had a bath, then moved to her recliner for another hour of up time. I think she deserves the rest she is getting now in her bed.
She kept asking about stuff around the house and stating that she wanted to be here, we talked about the things that they will probably want to happen before she can leave the hospital, walking in good control of herself with walker, off the TPN food supliment she is now on 24 hours a day, off her IVs and physically stronger than she is now. When I said weeks she said days, so that is how determined she is at this point.
Still no Gleevec, I thought they had started to two days ago but not yet. I will email Dr. Morgan asking for the plan on that front. We need it to help hold the tumors from growing back.
Loree, friend, bookeeper, house sitter, dog feeder, fish trainer, and a whole lot of other things is here learning how to use our Quicken system to log when checks are written to our vendors and workers. We are frightened to see the balance and right now its not looking too good but soon we'll start putting in the deposits.
You just would not believe how great everyone has been here at the company. We could not survive without this excellent family of helpers.
So back to work, just wanted to share the good news about Nan's accomplishments.
Praise God and lets keep praying and thanks God for His goodness.

Sincerely

tim

PS I have been trying to email this blog out for hours but can't get it to leave my computer. Hope it works this time.

    Hi Tim,

It worked!!Thanks for the Good News, We know that Nan is determined to get out of Boston A.S.A.P. If any one can do it She can and will .

Gleevac News should be coming from the Dr. Do let Us know what is happening. Carrol is Very connected on that front as She is on a steady program of Cancer retarding Meds and knows how important they are to stall any further activity.

We rejoice in Nan's progress and Pray for more good things to come soon.

    Love to You Both,

    Bob & Carrol

    Hi Nan and Tim,

Oh how good that hot tea feels going down into all those empty crevices! Way to go girl! Keep up the good work. So, you've figured out how to get the attention of the nurses ~ just call Tim and he will get their attention. Another way is to crimp your IV line and let it beep. That works too.

You both will have a testimony to share when Nan gets out of the hospitsl. God certainly has a ministry for you.

We are super busy right now with the closing only 9 days away. So far so good. Then there's the month of transition. We'll make it, but we sure are tired!

    Love you both,
    Carol and Roger NC
