Bad news

Dear Friends and Family,

We received some very bad news this afternoon and we need your prayers as soon as you read this please.

They have confirmed that the fluid is urine which is better than bowel stuff, but they think her abdominal cavity is full of urine and that coming out the wound is the spill point. At this point no one has an idea of what to do next, we may have to move to UCSF to get someone with more experience to cope with this, Nan is pretty bummed over this and I am blown away at this point. I remember God healing BI bleeding, and the first night the bleeding out slowed and stopped. How we need Gods help again right now.

Barb and Gerry Lammerding are at our house right now with a load of kind goodies from Marilyn. I am going to drive home now and we will drive the hour back to the hospital for the evening and then back home and then back in the morning again. Barb will stay here and Gerry and I will go see properties and then come back to the hospital. Nan is very alert today and although sad definitely not giving up. They are giving her a variety of antibiotics to combat the various infections that are swirling around inside. They are capturing the leaking fluid and running it off to a collection bag but she is pretty well bed bound in the process, can't walk or anthing or it all comes loose.

Please ask God for His special help for this dedicated and loving lady. I know He can help and we seek that help and His overall plan for our lives. Please pray.

Got to run now,
thanks for your love,

Nan can take calls but hopes to sleep a couple hours while I am gone so please call later in the evening after perhaps 5:30 or 6 pm. Hospital number is 925 682 8200 rm 3123.

love

tim and nan

    Hi, Guys
What a strange thing to be happening. Anxious for them to figure it out. Glad that Nan doesn't have the pain in her lower, lower back side now. If she is full of liquid, could that be causing the tumor to "float" and therefore relieve the pain? Will be praying for medical wisdom and God's presence. Am so thankful that Barb and Gerry are with you now. It makes the burden lighter when you have good caring friends to share the load with. Thank you Barb and Gerry, these two really need your support.
Will call later this evening. Love, Sharon

It is times like these that I wish we were closer and could be there for you. I too am thankful for Barb and Gerry being there with you. We can pray for God's ministering angels to be with you, but we also need "angels with skin in". They are those angels!

We pray that someone will figure out what to do to help Nan at this point. She is unique to Nan. I doubt very seriously that any of the doctors there have ever seen anything like what she has gone through. She has weathered many a storm in the last 10 years and defied countless odds. The doctors have nothing to research for help with her care. So, she is making history! Now we wait to see what God has in store for her this time. He is our Maker, Creator, Healer and Savior. We can but trust Him.

May God continue to bring you strength for each day and peace in knowing He is in control.

    Love and Prayers ~ Carol
