Sabbath evening - mexican train dominos

Dear Friends and Family,

Nan is resting in her recliner after winning at Mexican Train Dominos beating the highly skilled Barb and Gerry Lammerding in a tight game. However it took several rounds to accomplish this victory. Now she is hurting from sitting up in the chair a bit too long. Barb and Gerry arrived around 6 tonight and brought the good makings for a nice smoothie for Nan. They always bring such joy with them when they come. Barbie immediatelly worked on the kitchen sink as she made the smoothie and it gleams again.

This morning I drove the VW to the airport taking Dana. On the way home the car quit twice, seems the Modesto fix didn't solve the problem after all. That was a real bummer and sort of made the day. Now I'm not sure what to do to get it fixed. It goes for hours, hundreds of miles and then fails, a very hard problem to solve.

Tomorrow we hope to get some painting done, some appraisals written, some more games played and some good food as well. Right now its late and I need to take Nan up to bed, she is sore, tired and hurting badly. We still need to replace the dressing and then get her to sleep.

We are so thankful for Dana coming to help in so many ways and now we are grateful to Barb and Gerry for coming. People matter so much.

Please keep praying that Nan will continue to recover and feel better, stronger every day. This is a very long process indeed.

Love

tim and nan and barb and gerry

Hi everyone - Good deal Barb and Ger made it there safely and have started in with things that need to be done. They can always find fun things to do - give them a list!

They can teach you this new game called Freckles - I'm sure they took the things they need to play it.

It's a beautiful morning and I hope you are having a beautiful morning there too. Take care of Nan today - I'm praying you get stronger and every day is a precious day for each of you.

Sounds like you have got some good visitors lately. I am sad to hear Dana has had to return home, she is always so great for Nan. Did they watch lots of Pricwe is Right. :)
I do hope that pain and soreness starts to go away. it would be great for Nan if we all heard that she had a good day and the pains were missing for the most part.
My thoughts remain with you always. Take care.
    Pam :)

    Hi Tim and Nan,

Another day to praise our Lord for His goodness! I'm glad it has been a bit cooler for you and you can enjoy the Delta breezes.

How nice that you have reinforcements and good help. Perhaps they can help you get the painting finished and your house put back in order. That should make you feel better. Mexican train has also been known to add to the quality of life ~ especially if you win... Good game! Skip-bo is another good one.

Ya'll remain in our thoughts and prayers,

    Carol

    Hi to all of you,

Thanks for watching the weather for me, Nan, I haven't turned the news on all week. Glad to know that we are in the clear.

My sister and her husband left for their home in Georgia today. It had been 8 years since they had been home and we had a great time. Lots of laughs, shopping and eating! My brother and wife came from Houston, too. We had a wonderful visit.
Nan, you are sounding better every time I talk to you. Remember to take one day at a time and enjoy and be thankful for God's blessings. Looking forward to Dana coming here next Friday. Will be good to see her and get caught up on the latest.
    Enjoy your company.

    Love you all, Sharon

    Hi Mustards,

We are back from 5 days, 50th Wedding Anniversary trip up the Pacific Coast. We enjoyed Some great Motel rooms with Ocean Views and the best of Food. We got back safe and sound about 3:00 p.m. Today and were pleased to read in the blogs about Nan's progress . Sorry that the "Bug" is still ailing, those type of intermetent problems are very difficult to get fixed.

Glad to hear that You have had some helpful visitors and We are planing on a Short visit this week some time before Chemo starts next week on Tuesday 5th.

Sounds like You are starting a "Cat" farm, hope they don't eat too much.

Have a good week and as always We will continue to Pray for You both. Even the "Bug".

    Love You,

    Bob & Carrol.
