She's back!!!!!!!!!

Wow, Heather just came in at 6:15 to do routine things for Nan and found her wide awake, eyes wide open and Nan is fully aware and awake. When she began to learn what she has been through she wept. She asked for a blanket and after learning that her fever was gone she got her blanket since the room is cold. She is feeling pain in her tummy and can explain where the pain is now. She is so glad to be back but is hurting some. I've called Nikki just now to let her know. I won't call others until later since its early I know. Heather told us of her commitment to nursing and to get to do things to express her love of people. She was thrilled with Nan's progress and mental alertness this morning. The photo expresses the moment. What a blessed moment indeed.

We both slept well last night but Nan went to sleep with a big fever going. This morning it is normal, her blood pressure is very good right now and her heart rate is about 110 which is normal for her.

It is totally wonderful to have her be able to talk about what is bothering her, about her fears and about the state of pain she is experiencing. What an amazing moment God has given us and we are thankful, very thankful.

Praise God for this moment of alertness and for His guidance over the last few days.

    Tim and Nan:

Yes, thank God for yet another miracle! Nan sure looks great on this photo, not like yesterday. I'm so glad that she is now awake and talking. It is so difficult to not know exactly where she is hurting as she was not able to tell us yesterday. The only moment that I saw Nan came out of it was when Keanna came - that indeed was a surprise to me, she came alive and talked a few sentences. You always say that Nan loves that little girl so much, well it was proven to me yesterday. Nan even tried to sit up a little when Keanna talked to her. Then of course after just a minute Nan went back to sleep.

I told Nan that we will play Mexican Dominos next time and she actually did smile a bit.

It was nice seeing you and have been able to share yesterday. Don't you ever forget that you are a wonderful person and loving husband.

Thanks for the wonderful update - our prayers are with you for a full recovery.

    Good evening from NC!

We spent the day at DollyWood today at the "Festival of Nations". I thought about Nan all day and the good times we have had there in the past. I was anxious to get home this evening to see if there was any news. And yes, it was GOOD news.

Nan, you continue to amaze us all. You are like the Energizer bunny or Timex. I'm not sure which. It is good to see your eyes open and alert. Hang in there, girl! You have a baby coming into your family who needs to meet his/her "Grammy".

Tim, you can take a deep breath now and begin to relax a bit.

We love you both and keep you close in out thoughts.

Love and continued prayers ~ Carol
